Description Atlas Achromatic Gold Z plug screw
In the process of improving its Achromatic Z-connector, Atlas made four key changes that resulted in improved quality and performance of the product.
The first change affected the material of the cylindrical body of the Achromatic connector. Atlas currently uses high-strength ABS material, which is known for its strength, stability and excellent surface quality.
The second major change Atlas has made is to improve the contact resistance of the plug. This is achieved by improving the fit of contact blades made from beryllium copper.
The third change is associated with an increase in the manufacturability of the terminal production process. This made it possible to achieve better quality when using pneumatic machines.
Last but not least, the overall weight of the Z-plug is reduced by 35%. This weight reduction significantly improves product performance.
All of these changes allowed Atlas to achieve its goal of creating a solder-free, low-weight, non-conductive, self-cleaning, and recyclable Z-plug. This makes Atlas's Achromatic connector an outstanding solution for many applications.
