Externally, the AE1 Active received a completely redesigned body. It features a reinforced, durable fibreboard construction with internal damping panels and introduces a slotted port for the first time in the AE1 design. It has low noise and minimal distortion.
The AE1 Active maximizes all the benefits of an active speaker design. These include reducing crossover loss, eliminating the influence of the speaker cable, and delivering unparalleled dynamic power. The result is a coherent powered loudspeaker with similar speaker characteristics, but at a more affordable price.
With a bandwidth of 40Hz to 25kHz, an efficiency of 104dB at 1Vrms, and a maximum SPL of 115dB, no other small speaker can match the performance of the AE1 Active.
