Monitor Audio's AWC-265/AWC-265-T2 and AWC-280/AWC-280-T2 closed-type passive built-in speakers are designed for use in unusual environments. Bathroom, yacht, garden, swimming pool - the versatility of the model range is almost limitless. Speakers Monitor Audio AWC280/AWC265/T2 (stereo version) differ from each other except for the size of the speakers (6.5/8 inches) and the equipment with tweeters (the T2 model has two of them). Two-way speakers include 1 loudspeaker. Gold-plated ports have been introduced, as well as a removable grille. The power rating is 100 watts. The recommended maximum power for an external amplifier (a spring port for connecting an amplifier has been introduced) is also 100 watts.



Speakers with monopolar acoustic radiation received the highest level of protection against salt, while the back wall does not allow dust to penetrate inside. The speaker cover is provided in the form of a silicone insert. A specially provided rubber membrane allows moisture to pass through in places where the device is connected to the surface. The grill grate, which covers the column, is fixed on the body with cobalt magnets.



The devices of these models are especially hardy to critical temperature indicators. Built-in loudspeaker manufacturer Monitor Audio claims operating temperatures for the AWC280/AWC265/T2 (stereo version) from -34°C to 97°C.



In the central part of the device there is a gold-plated metal one-inch C-CAM driver. The cone woofer delivers impressive bass depth for this type of model. The boundaries of the played frequencies are 50 Hz-30 kHz with a sensitivity of 88 dB and an impedance of 8 ohms. The limiting sound pressure is equal to 109 dB.
