Soundcraft has unveiled the latest addition to its rapidly growing family of multi-format, low-cost EPM mixers.
The emphasis in the EPM series is on sound quality and performance, the simplicity and clarity of the control panel, not overloaded with unnecessary functions, and Soundcraft has brought new technologies and ideas to this highly attractive lineup in terms of cost. Surface mount technology is used throughout, using close tolerance components to achieve high precision and repeatability in EQ and gain control settings. The highly transparent GB30 mic preamp (designed by Graham Blythe for the Company's 30th anniversary and also used on the larger LX7ii and GB consoles) features high resolution tuning over a wide 55dB gain range, and delivers an incredible +22dB headroom. Professional 48V phantom power allows you to connect all types of condenser microphones.
Unique signal monitoring capability - PEAK led. It uses multi-point metering to track congestion in multiple parts of the channel strip, and the LEDs get brighter as you get closer to the peak point. For convenient and precise control, the EPM mixer is equipped with high quality 60mm faders, the same as on other Soundcraft consoles. The monitor and headphone outputs work in parallel, so the performer can listen to the sound in headphones, and the sound engineer - on studio monitors.
