Rethinking the portable device. The M17 desktop class player is a brand new chapter in the history of FiiO portable players. Desktop-specific DACs, amplifiers, and power deliver power and sound that rivals or exceeds some desktop devices while remaining portable.

Desktop-class DAC ES9038PRO. The left and right channels of the audio path are equipped with separate 8-channel flagship ES9038PRO DACs. This means that each audio channel has 8 parallel outputs summed together to provide exceptionally clear audio reproduction of excellent resolution with minimal distortion.

Desktop class amplifier THX 788+. The desk class buff also plays an important role in the M17. FiiO and THX have jointly developed the exclusive THX AAA-788+ amplifier, an updated version of the original op-amp. Compared to the original, the output power is increased by 225%, up to 3000mW per channel, with lower output impedance, making it easy to drive any type of headphones.

Amplification similar to desktop devices. On battery power, there are 4 gain levels: low, medium, high, and full-size headphone mode. Plugging in external power unlocks the advanced amplification mode of the over-ear headphones, delivering true desktop power. On a balanced output, the gain can reach up to 16dB, making the M17 easy to work with most headphones.

Amazingly wide range of interfaces. Thanks to its larger size, the M17 offers a variety of connection options, which expands the possibilities of using the player:

Powerful power supply. The M17 contains two power supplies, a battery power supply and an external DC power supply. The battery pack allows the M17 to be used in situations where a power outlet is not available. With DC power, the voltage in the analog circuit increases by 35% to 11.5 V compared to battery power; and the battery remains healthy as it is not used in this mode.

Advanced cooling system. Exceptional sound quality is combined with high power consumption, so when designing the M17, great attention was paid to efficient heat dissipation. The M17 not only uses an "H" type heatsink and VC liquid cooling, the 151g aluminum alloy one-piece body also effectively dissipates heat from the device. Lastly, the fan stand also provides fast heat dissipation.

To reduce interference. Inside the M17 are 17 gold-immersed printed circuit boards, with the analog and digital sections physically separated into two separate boards to reduce mutual interference between them. 7 high conductivity copper alloy shields also provide shielding to greatly reduce internal and external EMI for analog audio signals inside the M17.

Optimized modular internal structure. The development of the M17 took 1.5 years, followed by 6 major design iterations with 12 internal design optimization steps. The result is a device that makes excellent use of the interior space. Inside the M17, analog and digital boards are neatly stacked with clever use of stainless steel screws, allowing FiiO to achieve almost twice the PCB area of a typical PCB in such a limited space.

Futuristic design of the 7th generation. The futuristic CNC-machined aluminum one-piece body evokes the feeling of a technological marvel. The sharp lines of the case, buttons and lighting slots give the M17 a bold and charismatic aura.

Click or turn, enjoy. The volume can be adjusted either with the analog potentiometer knob or with the buttons. Quickly and easily set one of 120 volume levels using any of the methods.

Stylish RGB lighting. The M17 is equipped with a seven-color RGB backlight system that is highly customizable. Colors can be fixed, follow sound or mode. The backlight brightness can be set to change depending on the current power, volume or temperature. The top and side lights can even be controlled separately, allowing you to choose your own unique style.
