Acoustic system Yamaha NS-B500
Great-sounding bookshelf speakers that can even be used as main speakers

Among the models of the Japanese giant, the NS-B500 monitors are assigned the role of universal ones, capable of voicing even the front channels. The systems have an original design of a closed case, shaped like a truncated pyramid with smoothed corners. According to the assurances of the company's engineers, such a solution guarantees the most reliable sound without extraneous overtones at any volume. Innovative heads are used as radiators in loudspeakers, analogues of which can be found even in top Yamaha models.
For example, the tweeter membrane is made of aluminum-magnesium alloy, so it is ultra-lightweight with very high rigidity. And the patented DC-Diaphragm technology, the essence of which lies in the fact that the voice coil frame and the tweeter dome form a single whole, contributes to a more even sound over a wide frequency range. The bass driver's cone is made of A-PMD's signature white composite and mounted on a tricky monolithic rubber surround. Together with a powerful magnetic system, this can significantly reduce non-linear distortion at medium and low frequencies.
NS-B500 do not claim to reproduce deep bass (a good subwoofer will help them here), but in their operating band they behave just exemplary. Among the main advantages are amazingly natural high frequencies and correct mids. The sound resolution is extremely high - even the smallest details of the soundtrack are easily heard. Surprisingly, at the same time, the speakers continue to sound clear even at significant volumes. The space is formed extremely accurately and well built in depth. I was especially pleased with the significant scale of the scene and the most accurate positioning of imaginary sources in it.
