Bookshelf speaker Acoustic Energy AE 300 White

The AE 300 is a new compact loudspeaker suitable for small to medium sized spaces. Following the award-winning AE 100, it significantly improves the sound quality, materials and finish of the cabinet.

Tracing its line back to the original AE1, the AE 300 uses the latest generation of 130mm mid-bass drive. Featuring a new ceramic-aluminum sandwich cone with an ultra-fine profile and ultra-high force, long-throw drive, this new driver boasts improved dispersion, extended bass response and overall power.

A new 28mm aluminum tweeter has been developed for the 300 series which delivers high power and low fundamental resonance to reduce distortion. However, the main advantage of this new design is the excellent dispersion characteristics due to Wide Dispersion Technology waveguides. The waveguides shape the acoustic output of the tweeter in accordance with the subwoofer and provide a wider tone in the listening environment.

The inert, high-density 18mm MDF cabinet uses proprietary mounting technology derived from the award-winning Reference Series to reduce cabinet coloration and allow the new transducers to breathe freely in the listening environment. The channel port on the back of the speaker expands the bass output and has been carefully designed to reduce the effect of air turbulence with clean, undistorted bass performance.
