Bowers & Wilkins CWM 664

Acoustic system B&W CWM 664 is designed to be built into the walls of the room to be sounded. This model is very similar to the AC CWM 663, but is based on other speakers. As a woofer, a fiberglass diffuser with a diameter of 150 mm is used here. The NS speaker is mounted on an anti-resonant chassis and is equipped with a powerful magnet system with an oversized voice coil. The tweeter in the B&W CWM 664 also has a Nautilus tube load, but is equipped with a fabric dome instead of aluminum. The speakers are connected to a crossover filter, the parameters of which are chosen in such a way as to provide a smooth frequency response in the transition zone between the radiators, as well as minimal phase distortion. For additional correction of tonal balance in the high frequencies, a miniature three-position switch is located on the front panel of the speaker to the right of the tweeter.

The use of other speakers has also changed the sound character of the speakers, which can be used to build audio systems with a given sound character. Since this type of radiator is standard for many of the company's speakers, the B&W CWM 664 goes well with models that have similar speakers (both built-in and cabinet). The columns have a reliable and simple fixing system, which allows them to be mounted very quickly and accurately in the prepared hole. For additional ease of installation, you can use the optional PMK W6 kit, and if you need to provide AC with a fixed working volume, use the BB6W rear box. The loudspeakers have a protective grid with a magnetic fixation, which does not resonate even at high power input.

B&W CWM 664 speakers can be used in stereo systems or home theater systems, as well as equipping them with multi-room systems in cases where good sound quality is required in all sounded rooms.
