Monitor Audio WSS430 (Super Slim)

Monitor Audio WSS430 has more significant differences from the two younger models. As the flagship model of the line, it uses a number of technical solutions used in the flagship Platinum II line. In particular, it uses branded MPD ribbon tweeters. The C-CAM mid/bass drivers used are equipped with oversized voice coils and Neo magnets, which combine to provide incredible driving force and low distortion.

A key feature of the Monitor Audio WSS430 model is the minimum installation depth, which is only 50 mm. To achieve such a small mounting depth was due to the rejection of a large mid/bass speaker in favor of three small ones, each 3 inches in diameter. According to the developers, in total, such a set of drivers is equivalent to one speaker with a diameter of 6 inches (although this is imperceptible in terms of technical characteristics, in particular, in terms of the lower cut-off frequency). According to the developers, this will bring Monitor Audio's signature sound quality to places where it was previously impossible.

Monitor Audio WSS430 is a 2-way in-wall speaker system in an ultra-slim design. The WSS430 is equipped with a ribbon-type tweeter cone with a light MPD® corrugated diaphragm and rotates 90 degrees. and mid/bass cones (76 mm) made of aluminium-magnesium alloy with ceramic coating on a black C-Cam® rubber surround.

The WSS430 model has thin-edged protective grilles that attach to magnets and a dust cover that covers the magnets and crossover elements.
