The Monitor Audio CP-WT260 speaker system is designed to be built into the walls of a sounded room and has a classic two-way configuration with a linear placement of emitters. The speakers are made in a closed case of non-resonating ABS polymer with mineral filler, which has good acoustic properties. With an average installation depth of 96 mm, the CP-WT260 can be mounted not only in any hollow, but also in many solid walls or interior partitions. At the same time, due to its own closed volume, on which the woofer is loaded, the characteristics of the wall will not affect the sound quality. For installation, branded Tri-Grip fasteners are used, making its installation simple and reliable. The metal mesh is attached to the front panel with magnetic latches, which improves the appearance of the speaker.

The Monitor Audio CP-WT260 is equipped with a 152 mm C-CAM combo cone woofer and a 25 mm dome tweeter, additionally coated with gold plating to dampen parasitic resonances. Traditional Monitor Audio Hi-Fi speakers have exactly the same speakers, which allows you to use the company's built-in and cabinet speakers in one audio set. The tweeter can be rotated a small angle to obtain the best sound quality in the sounded area.

To adjust the nature of the sound of the speaker system, there are two switches on its front panel. One of them allows you to eliminate distortion in the frequency response in the low-frequency region in the case of mounting the CP-WT260 close to the side wall of the sound room (Boundary Compensation). Another toggle switch, which has three positions, adjusts the sound of the speaker in the high-frequency region (-3 dB / 0 / + 3 dB).
