The braid expands when pressed lengthwise. Gather the number of cables you want to braid, secure the ends with tape, and then gradually place the cables into the braid. Do not cut the braid until the cables are in the correct position, as the length of the braid depends on the width. It is better to cut the braid when the cables are already inside, after stretching the braid. Remember to stretch the braid to achieve the desired tight fit. Note that a very tight fit also reduces the flexibility of the cable.

Terminate the ends with heat shrink tubing and add/attach the connectors appropriate for the cable's purpose.
