Are you looking for a brand new full size CD player? If so, you're in luck because Denon has just announced the DCD-1700NE, a CD/SACD player capable of high-resolution audio playback, among many other features.

There haven't been many CD players released in recent years, but disc fans will be happy to know that CDs have been known to make a comeback. CD shipments rose for the first time in 17 years in 2021, marking the first time CD sales have increased since 2004, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). High precision clock generator DAC MASTER CLOCK

To accurately synchronize digital circuits, DAC Master Clock technology treats the DAC as the master clock signal. Built with exceptional quality, the main clock is located next to the DAC, which suppresses jitter and ensures maximum D/A conversion accuracy. It serves as a benchmark for semiconductor processing and optimizes digital audio circuits. This brings us back to Denon: the DCD-1700NE can play almost any disc, from CD to SACD, as well as DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW containing DSD and high-resolution files (there is no separate USB time). Regarding high-resolution support, the 1700NE can reproduce up to 192 kHz/24-bit PCM and 5.6 MHz DSD. There are optical and coaxial outputs, as well as one fixed RCA line output.

With Advanced AL32 Processing Plus technology and a patented SVH-class drive, Denon says the 1700E can deliver flawless, likely playback with optimal fidelity, even restoring information that was lost during the original digital recording.
