Level 6 Noise Reduction: ZERO-Tech + Carbon/Graphene Mesh-Network

Radio frequency (RF) noise from cellular, Wi-Fi, and satellite signals is everywhere. AQ's Level 6 noise cancellation technology includes a carbon-graphene resistive mesh structure, directional conductors, and silver-plated drain wires to significantly reduce the effect of RF noise masking.

ZERO-Tech (no characteristic impedance) for linear, wideband noise dissipation

The only way to avoid a characteristic impedance mismatch between a cable and its connected source and load circuits is to eliminate the cable impedance itself. ZERO-Tech eliminates the electrostatic field between the high and low signal conductors, providing linear (uniform across all frequencies) RF noise dissipation and accurate transient transmission. To completely isolate the signal conductors, the ZERO-Tech system uses a dual-chamber 72-volt DBS block in Pegasus, ThunderBird, FireBird, and Dragon XLR cables.

72V Dielectric Bias System (DBS)

The dielectric can act as a parasitic filter, creating interference. The DBS system minimizes this noise and linearly filters RF interference, significantly improving broadband noise dissipation.

Polypropylene air-tube insulation

Any solid material adjacent to a conductor becomes part of the electrical circuit, absorbing energy and causing distortion. In cables where minimum diameter is important, AudioQuest uses polypropylene air-tube insulation. Air absorbs almost no energy, and polypropylene has low loss and minimal distortion, which reduces the effect of sound blurring.
