Completely updated flagship

Many people don’t realize how closely performance and design are linked at REL. Performance is everything to us, and so it drives changes in physical design. Our engineers, recognizing the need to increase acoustic volume to achieve the goals of greater fluidity and power, turn to a designer who works on the dimensions to trick the eye into seeing a smaller, more compact area despite the increased cabinet volume. The use of softly rounded corners allows the eye to flow around them and see less visual mass. The result is both modern and familiar, without unnecessary embellishment.

Innovative Alloy/Fiber Bass Motors

Achieving more power and control requires a complete redesign of the suspension components. Like the suspension of a sports car, these elements are responsible for the tuning and feel of our designs. By increasing the volume of the enclosure, efficiency is increased, allowing for greater output without increasing the amplifier power. Less back pressure inside the enclosure means we can tune a stiffer, more controlled driver suspension. We have retained the best aspects of our previous design, such as the aluminum center cap responsible for the rigidity of the lightweight 10-inch (250 mm) cone, while adding virtually no mass. The updated combination gives significantly better attack and dynamics with greater transparency.
