The Tascam VS-R264 Full HD Video Streamer/Recorder is an AV-over-IP streaming encoder and decoder that offers simultaneous encoding, streaming, recording and decoding of audio/video content in Full HD resolution using the H.264 video codec. It can be used for transmission over corporate networks and global networks, as well as for live broadcasting to the Internet or for auto uploading via FTP of recorded files to network storage. Using open streaming formats and protocols, the model supports content delivery networks and online platforms such as YouTube, Wowza, Ustream, AWS Elemental MediaLive, CloudFront, and more.

With Power over Ethernet or an external 12V power supply, HDMI I/O with embedding and audio output, and full RESTful API control to integrate the Tascam VS-R264 into automation and control systems, this recorder is extremely versatile.

While many other products either do not have professional sound levels or jacks, or do not record at all, or cannot simultaneously encode and decode, the Tascam VS-R264 has fully balanced audio input/input via Euroblock jacks with custom reference levels for compatibility with professional audio systems. Unicast sends a stream to only one target, while multicast allows a stream to be sent to multiple hosts at the same time.
