Digital-to-analogue converter TEAC UD-301-XB Black
The design of the new DAC UD-301-X of the Japanese brand Teac is built on a high-quality Burr-Brown PCM1795 chip in a dual architecture.
The asynchronous USB port supports DSD native playback and directly converts DSD signals to ASIO2.1 and DoP analog formats without modifying PCM. The installed free TEAC HR audio player allows users to play Hi-Res DSD128 and PCM192/32 files from Windows PC and Mac without complicated setup.
Because digital audio data is transmitted from a computer via a USB cable, the timing control for sending/receiving data packets is determined by the UD-301-X's internal clock, which is much more accurate than most computers. This asynchronous transmission mode theoretically eliminates signal-compromising jitter and allows digital audio signals to travel in electrically "clean" conditions.
When processing digital audio signals with a frequency of 96 kHz or lower, it is possible to upconvert them to two or four times the original sampling frequency of the signal. higher sampling rate.
In order to process high-resolution audio data under the best possible conditions, the UD-301-X uses a dual mono design in which each of the two channels contains its own mono circuitry. This design avoids mutual interference between the left and right channels and provides enhanced stereo playback.
The digital section of the unit uses two BurrBrown PCM1795 32-bit D/A converters, one for each channel, and is capable of processing DSD 128 high-resolution audio files. Analog processing is handled by New Japan Radio Corporation's MUSES8920 op-amps. which converts the output current from the DAC into voltage signals. The dual mono approach is also applied to this stage of processing.
The built-in headphone amplifier uses a capacitor-free CCLC circuit. And the ability to disable the XLR and RCA outputs on the rear panel limits the power supply to the headphone amplification process, thus maximizing its potential. sufficient stable current for each individual part of the circuit.
