In 2018, the junior model of the Dali Oberon 5 floor-standing speaker system comes to replace the Dali Zensor 5 speaker system. The Dali Oberon 5 floor-standing speaker system is the second largest and most powerful model in the new Oberon line. Like the older model, the Dali Oberon 5 acoustics has such important advantages as a solid aluminum base for greater stability, a rear-panel bass reflex port and one pair of premium quality speaker connectors. This speaker system is only 15 cm lower than the older model, however, it still exceeds 80 cm in height, and in its design it may well be a single ensemble with a modern home interior.

The front panel of the Dali Oberon 5 is adorned with a polished lacquer finish. The side panels are made of MDF and covered with furniture quality laminate, which gives the speakers a particularly attractive appearance. The two 5.25" mid/bass drivers are specially designed for this series, taking into account all the knowledge and experience gained from creating other successful DALI speaker series .Suspension design and proprietary wood fiber cone for superior soundstage reproduction and long listening enjoyment.

According to the manufacturer, optimized cones (wood-filled paper), four-layer coils and rigid metal cone holders should provide the Dali Oberon 5 speakers with good bass, transparent mids and excellent transient response. The internal surfaces of the cabinets (except for the rear side of the front panel) are covered with sound-absorbing material, which minimizes internal reflections and improves the interaction of the bass/midrange driver with the phase inverter.

All DALI design solutions lead to a methodical and consistent reduction of distortion in the speakers. For this reason, the speakers are designed by DALI engineers and manufactured in the DALI factory. In the manufacture of LF / MF cones, paper with natural fillers from wood fibers is used, and silk is used in the design of the HF domes. Light and, at the same time, rigid cones guarantee good macro/micro dynamics and high sound transparency. The high quality of the element base of the crossovers contributes to a further reduction in losses. Inside the hull is reinforced with bulkheads.

The soundstage of the Dali Oberon 5 is spacious and cohesive, with soulful vocals taking center stage. HF delight with purity and scale, the entire frequency range is superbly integrated. Sharp changes in dynamics are not a problem for them; the tonal palette is even and balanced.
