Pearl HDMI has solid Long Grain Copper (LGC) conductors. Particular attention has been paid to maximizing HDMI performance, and indeed HDMI AudioQuest cables take sonic performance to the next level.

DIRECTIONAL-HDMI

All audio cables are directional. The correct direction is determined by listening to each batch of metal conductors used in each AudioQuest audio cable. All signal conductors are controlled to route digital audio in AudioQuest HDMI cables, and even care is taken to ensure that the conductors used in the audio return path run in the opposite direction to ensure the best performance for this application. The arrows are clearly marked on the connectors for superior sound quality.

PE FOAM INSULATION

Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Because air absorbs little to no energy, and polyethylene has low losses and a good deformation profile, PE foam, with its high air content, causes much less of the defocus effect that is common with other materials.
