Unlike the vast majority of modern personal monitoring systems, which, as a rule, use several transducers at once (and which are actually a descendant of hearing aids), the IE 400 PRO is equipped with only one Sennheiser proprietary dynamic driver of a new, improved design.

The fact is that the entire range of reproducible frequencies does not have to be divided into separate segments at all and it is quite possible to keep it unified. With this natural and harmonious integrity, the IE 400 PRO produces a sound that is even and powerful over a much wider range.

The only dynamic high-performance transducer with a diaphragm diameter of only 7 millimeters confidently covers the entire frequency spectrum and eliminates another problem of old multi-driver systems - the inevitable phase distortion and dissonance that inevitably occurs in the user's inner ear. A system of powerful neodymium magnets with three-channel ventilation eliminates the risk of distortion, and a special two-chamber absorber, firstly, reduces resonant overload caused by natural processes in the ear, and secondly, prevents dissonances from drowning out high frequencies and excessively “pressing” on the ear.

As a result, we repeat, even at the highest level of sound pressure of IE 400 Pro, the sound is reproduced cleanly, without interference and without distortion, as a whole, preserving its original harmony, natural warmth and expressiveness.
