The Tannoy iw6 DS consists of a woofer and a mid-woofer, around which a high-strength chassis is built, the strength of which is controlled by the energy created by the driver, which is a decisive factor not only for producing super-powerful bass, but also for creating a sophisticated sound. This first-class sound is enhanced by a Tannoy Wideband™ tweeter to extend the bandwidth to 50kHz.

Gold-plated spring-loaded terminals provide ease of installation. The unique six-way clamping mechanism provides an acoustically optimal band in relation to the wall plane without the risk of distorting the speaker's soundboard. The design also allows for easy column reorientation.

The iw6 DS model is designed for installation in wooden walls with a diameter of 4” by 2” (102x51mm) and 16” (406mm) in the center. They can also be installed in dry masonry walls with standard thicknesses. This loudspeaker can be used with other types of construction provided that the thickness of the mounting surface is 1” (25.4mm). The perforated metal grill and low-profile frame of the iw6 DS can be painted any color, so it matches with any décor. This compact device provides extremely high quality music and speech reproduction, as well as sound intelligibility and reliable operation.
