Speaker Dali Fazon Sat Iron Black
The Fazon Sat is a two-channel satellite speaker featuring a 4.5" wood fiber cone woofer and a large 28mm soft dome tweeter with a powerful neodymium magnet system. The drivers share the same technology platform as the drivers developed for the renowned Mentor and Ikon series.

Highly rated 'Best Style Package for 2011' by What HiFi, these compact DALI speakers won't let you down. A multi-channel aesthetically pleasing configuration consisting of 5 identical speakers in company with the SUB E-12 F will delight the eye and ear.
Most dome tweeters are 25-26mm in diameter. Fazon Sat shares high frequency technology with other DALI speakers, which is based on a 28mm voice coil. This means a 25% longer coil length and increased power, both short-term and long-term, compared to more common 1-inch tweeters. In addition, due to the larger voice coil, power compression is reduced. Power management is improved by using an aluminum heatsink on the back of the magnetic system.
Although the dome tweeter is larger than standard tweeters, the weight of the dome is lower than usual due to the use of thin and light material. The low mass allows the dome to respond more quickly to electrical signals applied to the voice coil. The result is reflected in a more natural sound character, as well as improved resolution and attention to fine detail and microdynamics.
Bass/midrange speaker
The Fazon Sat features a pair of 4.5-inch wood grain cones, which have become a signature feature of DALI driver design since its introduction into the Euphonia line. Wood fibers add rigidity to paper cones without any ringing tendencies and are proving to be a key technology for reproducing fine detail and dynamics in music without any loss. Paper cones are usually very lightweight compared to other materials.
Twist 'n' Tilt
Fazon Sat is equipped with a rotating circular arm that offers a flexible and innovative "Twist 'n' Tilt" feature. Whether mounted on a wall or on a desk stand, you can tilt the speaker horizontally and vertically.
Frame
The use of die-cast aluminum as the housing material offers important mechanical advantages. First of all, aluminum's high strength compared to less rigid materials such as fiberboard or plastic allows engineers to use thinner walls and increase the internal volume of the case. The injection molding process is used to further strengthen the hull with internal partitions, create partition supports, connections to brackets, etc.
Additionally, and very importantly, the casting process created an internal cavity without parallel sides and avoided standing waves, providing a better acoustic environment for the drivers. Finally, the higher mass of aluminum provides a heavy counterweight to avoid vibration from the cones. In fact, the speaker weighs 200 times the combined moving mass of the three drivers.
