The Furman F1500-UPS E network air conditioner is supplemented with a built-in battery and can be used as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Unlike most similar devices designed for use with computer and telecommunications equipment, the Furman F1500-UPS was designed specifically for AV systems.

The device is equipped with eight sockets, divided into 4 banks with independent control. Two pairs of outlets are designed to connect the most sensitive equipment to power failure, and two more for equipment that can be turned off in case of a critical situation. The connected equipment protection system used in this network conditioner is fundamentally different from the schemes that are equipped with inexpensive "computer" UPSs. The protection in the F1500-UPS, built on the basis of SMP and EVS technologies (shutdown in case of exceeding the maximum permissible value), has increased speed and reliability.

In addition, the Furman F1500-UPS E is equipped with a very serious mains voltage filtering system. It is no secret that not only audio equipment, but also HD video equipment is very sensitive to interference in the power supply, which can degrade the quality of the image it generates. Surge filters made using proprietary LiFT technology (Linear Filtering Technology) are connected to four socket blocks, which are thus reliably protected from both mains and crosstalk. Another valuable quality of the F1500-UPS is the ability to obtain "pure sine" at its outputs - it's no secret that the shape of the signal taken from a conventional electrical outlet in a city apartment is very far from the classic sine wave. And this leads to improper operation of power supplies of AV equipment, limitations of their output power and premature failure. F1500-UPS avoids all these troubles.

The device is equipped with a remote control that functions even when the mains voltage is turned off, that is, the air conditioner switches to UPS mode. Control is also provided via RS-232 connector or TCP/IP protocol (when purchasing an optional module).
