Audio-technica AT-VM95C is the entry model of the new VM95 cartridge series. This cartridge uses a 0.6 mil tapered needle tip. In terms of sound characteristics, the new pickup is significantly better than its predecessors.
The pickup uses a new aluminum tube cantilever and an improved coil design with an increased output voltage of 4 mV. The Audio-Technica AT-VM95C is the most affordable cartridge in the new line, but it can be upgraded to any other cartridge with a simple stylus change. That is, you can always choose another sharpening from the VM95 series: Elliptical, Elliptical nude, Microlinear or Shibata. Any needle wears out as records are played, which is why it is so important to be able to purchase a replacement needle. Approximate life of the AT-VMN95C conical stylus is approximately 500 hours.
