Cary Audio Design has developed a new direct interface system for the 845 triodes. The amplifier now operates in three automatic classes: A, AB and B, delivering 150 watts of triode power. Anthracite black chassis with anodized aluminum front panel.

The Cary Audio CAD 211 FE is a single-channel mono power amplifier with a tube amplification circuit. The circuitry is based on a 6SL7 lamp in the input stage and a pair of 845 lamps at the output. With a power of 70 watts in class “A”, when the power increases to 150 watts, the amplifier automatically switches to class AB. Operating frequencies range from 20 to 20,000 Hz. The signal-to-noise ratio is 80 dB. Adhering to the concept of minimalism, the creators equipped the terminals with only one RCA and one XLR connector. The body is covered with black piano lacquer. Cardas Gold Film and Foil tubes and capacitors are routed outside the housing. Warm-up time is 5 minutes.
