Cary Audio introduced the SA-200.2 ES and SA-500.1 ES transistor amplifiers. Both models are based on a modular concept. The Cary SA-200.2 ES is a stereo amplifier that produces 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms or 350 watts into 4 ohms. The rear panel of the SA-200.2 ES has both unbalanced and balanced connectors. As for the SA-500.1 ES, this device is a monoblock rated at 500 W at 8 Ohms (1000 W at 4 Ohms).

Like the SA-200.2 ES stereo amplifier, the monoblock model has balanced and unbalanced inputs. According to Cary Audio, both amplifiers are reliable and have a very long service life, which is due to the use of “selected components” and precisely calibrated circuits. The company writes that the devices use metal film resistors: elements of this type “are found even where they are not required.” The output stages of the new models have been completely redesigned. Heat dissipation, according to Cary Audio, has increased by 50% compared to previous products. The new chassis is particularly robust and thick.
