AudioQuest
AC noise is present in a common power supply and then amplified by RF noise that is induced (picked up by the AC power cord). In doing so, it penetrates into the power supplies of the components and into the ground of the entire circuit. This creates distortion and low level signal loss through a "masking effect". In addition, power amplifiers can require huge transient currents in order for their power supplies to respond and then stabilize during program dynamic scenes. Most power cables and network conditioners/regenerators, while useful, are simply not up to the job.
