The concept of Supra Ply is "logical and scientific design", not to mention that "being square is fashionable".
The square shape resulting from the weaving of braided strands stacked close together unleashes the dynamic and transient potential of your Hi-Fi system. In addition, it reduces interference and distortion from the interaction.

If you divide the braid into thin layers of conductors, apply a thin layer of insulation, and then lay them together with the flat sides to each other, the capacitance will increase significantly. Deep analysis requires some mathematical exercises, so we will leave the physical theory here and simply state that two conductors of different polarity, laid with a large flat side to each other, will create their own individual charge, thus acting as a capacitor. If we just stopped there, we would not gain anything, but the real subtlety is that the capacitance will increase at the expense of inductance! And besides, capacitance matters less in a speaker circuit. In addition, Supra Ply uses tin strands, which reduce the destructive electron surges between strands that cause signal timing shift, which is very unwanted distortion when the original holographic 3D soundstage is required.

Once again, Supra Cables develops a "simple" yet ingenious cable that, due to its physical properties, counteracts unwanted audio behavior, is economical to manufacture, making it affordable to the consumer and delivering the best audio experience. But still. After all, this is a rather old design. What we have done recently, presented in a separate section, is a development of this concept with an even wider conductor woven in a two-step process, facing each other, resulting in even more capacitance and therefore even less inductance (Supra Ply Wide ).

Supra Ply is available in a variety of configurations, conductor areas, shieldless, spooled or prefabricated, all with a basic sound concept and some additional features. The shielded version, where the drain wire is connected to the negative terminal, is also a way to further increase capacitance, improve sonic performance, and protect nearby equipment from harmful fields and radiation, as well as the human aspect, such as EHS - electrohypersensitivity.

Unlike many modern audio cables, Ply's benefits have been proven by repeated measurements and tests almost all over the world.

Figures 1 and 2 show our Ply and a regular cable with a wide space between the conductors, a fairly common "high-end" design today. We applied to both cables the most complex signal in existence - a square wave representing very high frequencies. Every drum beat, piano playing, classical music, acoustic jazz, etc. are full of ultra-fast transients that are best represented by a square wave. The result speaks for itself. While the Ply shows only negligible loss, a regular cable attenuates high frequencies up to 20kHz by a staggering 10dB! This is a significant attenuation of high frequencies that is clearly audible and will no doubt force the listener to compensate for it with the tone controls and thereby degrade the sound quality further by adding tone control phase shift.
