Robin Hood ZERO speaker cables can be used in two ways: either as the perfect Full-Range cables, or combined with a separate BASS cable for BiWire operation , providing unrivalled performance.

AudioQuest
View all products of the brand: AudioQuest

Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) Solid Conductors
Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic interaction between strands. Solid PSC+ copper minimizes grain boundary distortion and maximizes linear RF noise absorption.

Carbon Based Noise Depletion System (NDS)
AudioQuest's comprehensive noise reduction system combines multiple shields and a carbon resistive network that converts noise into heat. By "linear," we mean that the system is effective over an extremely wide frequency range, not just at specific frequencies as is typically the case. The remaining harmful energy is effectively channeled away from sensitive amplifier circuits using guided signal and shield conductors.

ZERO Technology
The only way to completely eliminate characteristic impedance mismatches between cable and load source is to have no fixed impedance value in the cable. ZERO technology eliminates the interaction between the insulation (dielectric) and the cable conductors, allowing current to be transmitted without compression. Important transient currents are not limited, and RF noise absorption is linear across the entire frequency range.

72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) with RF Level-X Noise Trap
The insulation is also a dielectric, which acts as a bypass filter. Proper polarization of the dielectric linearly aligns the filter, greatly improving the cable's ability to absorb induced noise. The DBS package with Level-X Noise Trap "pulls" RF noise out of the cable, reducing the negative impact on audio circuits.

Direction
All metal wires or conductors have an asymmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls variations in RF impedance to direct noise away from where it can cause distortion. The correct direction is determined by listening to each batch of metal conductors used in each AudioQuest audio cable. Arrows on the connectors point in the correct direction to ensure superior sound quality. In most AQ cables, the arrows not only indicate the optimal direction for the conductors, but also direct the asymmetrical connection of the shield and ground to optimize the performance of the entire system.

Cold-Welded Folk Hero Endings
Folk Hero cables are cold-welded to pure red copper connectors or banana plugs. The bare copper is dipped in pure silver instead of using a lower-grade solution. The speaker splitters and plug housings are not made of metal to avoid introducing RF noise into the conductors.

Bi-Wiring with Robin Hood
Whenever possible, using separate cables for the high and low frequencies of your speakers significantly reduces distortion. Bi-wiring isolates the large magnetic fields associated with bass energy from the high frequency cable, allowing the delicate high frequencies to travel in a less magnetically disturbed path, much like removing waves from water as you swim.

AudioQuest RF/ND-Tech technology
RF/ND-Tech's patented noise-reducing technology draws RF energy away from the amplifier's output. When implemented correctly, Bi-Wiring has always been a cost-effective way to improve performance. With RF/ND-Tech, the benefits of Bi-Wiring become much more noticeable. Because RF/ND-Tech is so effective, BASS cables are only intended for frequencies up to 10 kHz; do not use BASS cables for full-range or high frequencies.

The Robin Hood BASS cable is ideal for use with the Robin Hood ZERO or SILVER ZERO . A Bi-Wire combination with the BASS and ZERO connected together at the amplifier is usually most convenient. When using Tri-Wiring, use the BASS cables for the midrange and bass inputs.

Warning : Do not use two ZERO cables for Bi-Wiring. Using ZERO in parallel may create a resonance peak at high frequencies and result in poor sound quality. Use one ZERO cable and one BASS cable (together or separately). The second most effective option is one ZERO cable with AQ Bi-Wire jumpers.
