Audio-Technica stylus AT-VMN95ML for the Audio-Technica AT-VM95ML cartridge is a new cartridge with a sharpened nude microlinear stylus needle. Microline sharpening not only doubles the life of the replacement stylus, the reproduction of musical material with a line-contact stylus minimizes internal distortion in the groove of the record, but also provides extended frequency response and improves resolution at mid and high frequencies.
The Audio-Technica AT-VM95ML is the fourth most expensive cartridge in the new line, but it can be upgraded to a top cartridge at any time by simply changing the stylus. That is, you can always choose the most advanced sharpening from the VM95 series: Shibata. Any needle wears out as records are played, which is why it is so important to be able to purchase a replacement needle. Approximate service life of the AT-VMN95ML microline needle is about 1000 hours.
The AT-VM95ML features an improved design with a more rigid low-resonance cabinet. A newly developed radial damping ring improves transient response and increases frequency response up to 25,000 Hz.
