Ethernet-LAN cable Chord C-stream White 10 m

C-stream is designed for use with streaming audio systems that require RJ45 cables. C-stream cable uses high quality oxygen-free copper conductors with low-density polyethylene insulation, each pair of conductors is individually shielded, and an overall high-density foil shield is applied in front of the vibration-damping outer jacket.

The C-stream cable is a great illustration of how all Chord Company cables are designed and built. The company has found that Ethernet cables do have an effect on sound—and much of that effect is due to the directionality of the cable. C-stream is a high-quality Cat 7 cable with gold-plated contacts and a molded plug, which provides reliable operation and safety during voltage drop, while not deforming the cable itself and positively affecting performance. Of course, any streaming/Ethernet cable will work regardless of its direction; however, the C-stream is designed to be used as part of a music system and is unidirectional - so it will sound better when connected in a specific direction. When working with C-stream, notice the small black dot on one end of the cable - this is the one that should be connected to the component.
