The Van den Hul SCS-6 single- wire insulated speaker cable consists of 133 strands, each strand made of matched crystal OFC, pure oxygen-free copper, coated with a dense layer of pure silver. The use of special processes (extrusion) in the production of conductors makes the sound clearer, more detailed and even, eliminating the appearance of graininess and roughness, provides excellent tonal balance with deep, powerful bass and smooth reproduction in the treble region. The total area of all cores is 21.6 mm². The outer sheath of the cable is PTFE Teflon and is rated for 1000V, although testing has shown that the SCS-6 insulation can withstand 3500V (RMS).
Van Den Hul SCS-6 Key Features:
- Size 6 gauge with 133 strands.
- Each filament is made from high grade OFC with matched crystals (MC) with a dense and very pure silver coating during the extrusion process.
- The resistance is quite low at 1.3 ohm/km.
- Total conductor cross-sectional area: 13.5 mm².
- Outer Diameter: 6.35mm.
- The SCS - 6 sheath is made of beige PTFE with brown van den Hul SCS - 6 print.
- The rated insulation voltage is 1000 Volts, the effective value of the test voltage is 3500 Volts, the effective value.
- The sound quality is very good. Especially its smooth reproduction of high frequencies is a reference quality. This is a direct result of the special production methods applied.
