Speaker cable Van Den Hul CS-122 Hybrid, m

This 2-wire speaker cable is a 2-wire version of the CS-12 HF cable. The main goal of the designers was to create a high-quality flat two-wire cable with a low price.

The two conductors of this cable consist of 147 strands of 0.16 mm diameter each, made of high purity MC OFC (Matched Crystal Oxygen Free Copper) material with a very dense pure silver coating.

Each conductor has a cross-sectional area of 2.96 mm2 (equivalent to AWG 12.5).

To improve the sound characteristics and to convert the magnetic field of the radiation back into an audio signal, two conductors are covered with a saturated layer of LSC (Linear Structured Carbon - linear structured carbon). The active resistance of each conductor is 0.58 ohms per 100 meters. The capacitance between two conductors is 32 pF/m.

The cable sheath is made of Hulliflex 3, a highly flexible and mechanically perfect insulating material. The insulating sheaths of the positive and negative conductors differ from each other in shape, and the flat middle section between the cable conductors is marked. Both of these features make it easy to determine the polarity of the connection.

The cable markings are 25 cm apart. This distance (10 inches) makes it easy to cut the cable to the desired length. The cable is available with a sheath in two colors: green and a very attractive matte cream.

The CS-122 Hybrid cable works best with the Van den Hul Universal Speaker Connector for 4.0 mm cables.
