Unison Research
Unison Research UNICO Secondo is a hybrid integrated amplifier. The amplifier circuit is assembled on discrete elements. The input stage is assembled on two ECC 82 double triodes. The output stage is a "class A balanced stage with improved dynamics" on MOSFET transistors (complementary pair). High quality input selector and volume control. Aluminum front panel 15 mm thick.
After turning on (and warming up the tubes for 20 seconds), the Unison Research UNICO Secondo silver produces a sound that is typical of Unison. In the song Arm and Hammer rockers Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, the amplifier pleased with an abundance of nuances. Bass is very powerful, although somewhat sluggish. The device easily copes with dynamic differences, while creating a convincing scene. Like all Unisons, its main trump card is a great middle: the vocals sound especially beautiful, detailed and realistic.
