Stereo receiver Yamaha R-N2000A Black
The Yamaha R-N2000A network stereo receiver is built according to the classic Hi-Fi canons, not only externally, but also internally. If the classic design of the device is obvious - large dimensions of the case, dial indicators of the signal level, large controls, then its filling can be called classic in terms of its thoroughness. Such a serious approach to the design of a stereo receiver can now be seen in models of a much higher price category, and this commands respect. At the same time, the Yamaha R-N2000A has very flexible switching, which allows you to assemble a wide variety of kits based on it.

The device develops an output power of 120 W per channel (with a load of 8 ohms) or 190 W when connecting 4-ohm speakers. Such indicators indicate the significant energy reserve provided by the Yamaha R-N2000A power supply. This is not surprising, since it is built on the basis of a powerful proprietary toroidal transformer, and the output amplifiers in this model are built on discrete components. Channel amplifiers are manufactured on separate boards, with their symmetrical placement in the housing.
The Yamaha R-N2000A receiver is equipped with three line inputs. The amplifier also has an adjustable output for an additional power amplifier. There are proprietary screw terminals for connecting two pairs of speakers, as well as a headphone output. The device also has a built-in high-quality phono stage for MM/MC heads, as well as a digital-to-analog converter with support for the latest HD formats. The latter is equipped with USB (for PC), two optical and coaxial inputs, while via USB it is possible to receive a PCM signal (up to 32 bit/384 kHz and DSD up to 11.2 MHz). The DAC is made using DAC Master Clock Design jitter reduction technology, and to protect against noise that a connected PC may generate, a special isolation circuit is provided for the USB input.
However, the possibilities of playing music through the system are not limited to network functionality. The Yamaha R-N2000A has digital inputs for connecting external sources, and even HDMI with eARC audio return channel support for connecting to a TV. Thus, a system based on this device can also be used for high-quality reproduction of the soundtrack of films and television programs.
For automatic sound calibration, this model uses the proprietary YPAO system. There are several modes to enhance sound quality in various formats, including content recorded with compression.
With a WLAN or LAN connection to a local network, the model is capable of not only playing files from computers and servers, but also receiving streaming content from online services. Declared support for TIDAL, Deezer, Qobuz, Napster, vTuner, Sirius XM, etc. The function of playing some formats without pauses is also possible. The model is equipped with a Bluetooth module, capable of not only receiving, but also broadcasting audio streams to mobile devices, including Bluetooth headphones. The AirPlay 2 protocol and the Wireless Direct function are supported for direct connection of Wi-Fi devices to the receiver without the help of a router. There is an AM/FM tuner.
The Yamaha R-N2000A can work with the MusicCast wireless audio system, which is a multi-room system that allows you to stream audio content from the receiver to any MusicCast-compatible device. You can also broadcast a stream from tablets and smartphones connected to the Yamaha R-N2000A, from PCs, Macs and NAS servers on the local network, as well as from Blue-ray players, TV and other sources connected to the receiver. You can control the receiver and other network components using the MusicCast CONTROLLER application.
The Yamaha R-N2000A takes very serious measures to combat any interference, both electrical and mechanical. The anti-vibration chassis of the receiver is installed on special damping supports, and the placement of all massive components is made in such a way as to reduce their center of gravity as much as possible. The grounding of the Yamaha R-N2000A is made with a large gauge wire to effectively eliminate interference. The receiver circuit uses selected audiophile-grade components.
