The Sonus Faber Gravis II active subwoofer is equipped with a larger bass driver with a diameter increased to 10 inches, which made it possible to get very powerful and rich bass even in a large room. The woofer is mounted on the front of the subwoofer and is paired with a 10" passive woofer mounted on the base. This tandem reproduces low frequencies from a value of 28 Hz (in terms of level - 6 dB), and a bass radiator directed to the floor allows you to get a more even distribution of low frequencies in the room. The subwoofer cabinet is made of thick fiberboard and is equipped with internal ties that eliminate wall vibrations.

As in the rest of the subwoofers in the series, the woofer cone is lightweight and rigid, and moves with a large amplitude thanks to the elastic suspension and powerful magnetic system. The steel basket of the speaker is resistant to parasitic vibrations, so even when the subwoofer is operating at high volume, audible distortion does not occur. The device is installed on high massive supports, thanks to which the quality of the bass does not depend on the type of flooring.

Sonus Faber Gravis II's built-in 350W Class A/B amplifier delivers true Hi-Fi sound. The set of connectors and controls for this model is the same as for other subwoofers in the series. The input signal to Sonus Faber Gravis Il can be fed through low-level (line or LFE) or acoustic inputs. The Gravis I and Gravis II subwoofers feature the same finishes as the Sonetto speakers: matte white, piano black and walnut veneer.
