REL T/x - a new generation of subwoofers of the legendary brand

The legendary British subwoofer manufacturer, REL Acoustics , has introduced an updated series of subwoofers T / x, which includes three models: the junior T / 5x, T / 7x and the top version T / 9x. All design elements have been updated - from amplifiers and drivers to cases.

The flagship REL T/9x subwoofer features a 10" driver and a similarly sized downward facing passive radiator. According to the manufacturer, the lower cutoff frequency of the model is 27 Hz at a level of -6 dB.

The T/7x model is made in the same concept as the older subwoofer, but it has a smaller woofer diameter - 8 inches, although the size of the passive radiator is the same. The novelty plays from 30 Hz.

Finally, the junior version - REL T / 5x is equipped with a single radiator with a diameter of 8 inches, directed "to the floor" and working in a closed acoustic design. The lower cutoff frequency at the level of -6 dB is at the level of 32 Hz.

All three diffusers are made from proprietary FibreAlloy material and feature extended-travel surrounds. Traditionally for REL, amplifiers operating in class A / B are used here. The older subwoofer is equipped with a 300 watt amplifier, the T / 7x model is 200 watts, and the younger version is 125 watts. The switching arsenal includes a high-level input on the Neutrik Speakon connector, a low-level line input on an RCA, and an LFE input. The REL Arrow wireless module is available as an option.
