George Harrison OM10 Pro-Ject Art Essential III Turntable

Pro-Ject has released an updated version of one of its most popular players - Essential III. This model will be the first in a series of the same name, which will include turntables with different functional equipment. This will allow each music lover to choose the player exactly in the configuration that he needs, without overpaying for what is not needed.

The Pro-Ject Essential III comes standard with an RCA phono output for connection to an external phono stage. Externally, the Essential III is virtually unchanged from the previous version, in fact, it has made several critical improvements to improve the sound quality. This is a new drive roller on the motor that is now laser cut aluminum and has an improved surface finish. The motor itself is connected to a stabilizer, which reduces the instability of the disk rotation speed and reduces the level of vibrations. The platter and chassis in the Pro-Ject Essential III are made from selected MDF and have additional damping to dampen parasitic resonances. The new turntable has an improved felt mat, which has a high density and effectively protects the record from vibrations. The thrust bearing is made with precision, which also had a positive effect on the stability of the disc rotation.

The turntable features an 8.6" straight aluminum tonearm pre-mounted with an Ortofon OM10 cartridge, another change from the previous model which featured a simpler OM5 cartridge. The tone arm bearing is made of sapphire, which ensures smooth and precise movement of the pickup in the sound track of the record. The device is installed on damping supports, which effectively protect it from external vibrations.
