The Rega Planar 1 Plus vinyl disc player is made on the basis of a very successful model, the design of which has been significantly improved. Rega Planar 1 Plus is equipped with a low-noise 24-volt motor with a machined aluminum pulley. The massive 23mm thick phenolic resin platter has significant inertia, allowing the record to spin smoothly and stably. The new precision support bearing with a brass base has minimal noise and runout, which eliminates the occurrence of unwanted vibrations. The Rega Planar 1 Plus model uses a classic belt drive, and changing the disc rotation speed (33.1/3 or 45 rpm) is achieved by moving the belt from one groove of the engine pulley to another.

The player's chassis has excellent anti-resonance characteristics and is equipped with new supports that provide the necessary vibration isolation. Rega Planar 1 Plus is available in two lacquer finishes, black and white.

The turntable is equipped with a hand-crafted RB110 tonearm, on which a Rega Carbon cartridge is mounted and fully tuned. The tonearm has a precision bearing with zero runout and does not require additional adjustment. An 11-gram counterweight mounted on the tonearm allows precise tracking force adjustment. Thus, you can fully prepare the newly purchased Rega Planar 1 Plus player for listening to records in literally half a minute.

When developing the Rega Planar 1 Plus, the company decided to abandon the USB output, investing the freed resources in improving the quality of other design elements. At the same time, the Rega Planar 1 Plus is equipped with an excellent built-in phono stage based on the very successful Fono Mini model, which has received many awards in the specialized press. The phono stage circuit has been further modified for use specifically in the Rega Planar 1 Plus. Thus, to connect the player you can use a standard line input (a connecting cable with RCA connectors is included in the kit). The player has a transparent dust cover.
